We visited the Salone del Mobile in Milan

Last Monday at 6:00 AM, we set off from Ocaña towards the world capital of furniture. The 62nd edition of Il Salone del Mobile opened its doors to the world, welcoming professionals in the industry, curious to see what the exhibiting brands had to present.

The leading furniture firms continue to set the path forward. Oak and walnut wood remain the stars of the stands, and their creators invited us to take a closer look, peek behind the curtains, and see how some of the pieces were crafted.

Terracotta and blue tones played with more neutral shades and were present in furniture, kitchens, bathrooms, and flooring.

We were thrilled to get an up-close look at some of the giants in the industry: Boffi, De Padova, Antonio Lupi, Valcucine, Poliform, and the Pianca Partners Hub (the latter at Fuori Salone).
Our hearts were captivated by Porada, and we were deeply impressed by the craftsmanship of MolteniC. and Dada.

This experience shook our foundations and left us wanting more. Now it’s time to process all the information.

Between Wood and Design: Our Experience at Il Salone del Mobile

During our visit to the Salone del Mobile in Milan in 2024, we had the privilege of exploring Porada’s stand, where they presented their much-anticipated new collection, “Twenty-Four.” This line reflects an aesthetic evolution that honors the legacy of previous collections, offering both innovations and extensions of existing lines. The materials, true to Porada’s style, and the attention to detail were impeccable. However, what truly caught our eye this year was the color palette: rust tones, greens, and navy blues, complemented by iridescent fabrics that combine contemporary elegance with timeless allure.

Among the standouts, the Ginkgo armchair, designed by Niccolò Devetag and winner of the 2022 Porada International Design Award, symbolizes the thoughtful innovation and design that define the brand. Visiting this space was like immersing oneself in a renewed vision of luxury, where each piece engages in a dialogue with the tradition of Italian design, reinterpreted for the present.
